Arrival & Holy Temples of Chilaw

Colombo Airport (CMB) → Chilaw (Munneswaram & Manavari) → Dambulla / Habarana

Ayubowan & Vanakkam! Warm welcome at Colombo Airport by your private chauffeur. Journey north-west to Chilaw to visit Munneshwaram Temple—an ancient Shiva temple where Lord Rama prayed after the war. Then visit Manavari Temple, where Lord Rama installed the Ramalingam Shiva Linga. Continue to Dambulla for overnight stay.

Day 2

Sigiriya Lion Rock & Sanjeevani Hill at Ritigala

Dambulla → Sigiriya → Ritigala (Sanjeevani Drop) → Dambulla

Ascend the 5th-century Sigiriya Lion Rock and Cobra Hooded Cave, believed to be connected to King Ravana’s palace network. In the afternoon, visit Ritigala forest monastery, legendary site where Lord Hanuman dropped a piece of the medicinal Himalayan Sanjeevani mountain.

Day 3

Trincomalee Thirukoneshwaram & Kanniya Hot Springs

Dambulla → Kanniya Hot Springs → Trincomalee

Travel to the eastern coastal kingdom of Trincomalee. Experience the seven natural healing wells of Kanniya Hot Springs, created by King Ravana. Visit the cliffside Thirukoneshwaram Temple perched high above Swami Rock, and the revered Shankari Devi Shakti Peetham.

Matale Spice Garden & Royal City of Kandy

Trincomalee → Matale Spice Garden → Kandy

Scenic drive toward the sacred hill capital of Kandy. En route, visit a fragrant spice garden in Matale. In Kandy, explore the Sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic, take a leisurely stroll around Kandy Lake, and enjoy an evening cultural dance performance.

Day 5

Tea Trails, Bhaktha Hanuman & Seetha Amman Temple

Kandy → Ramboda (Hanuman Temple) → Nuwara Eliya (Seetha Amman)

Ascend into the misty tea highlands. Visit the Sri Bhaktha Hanuman Temple in Ramboda where Lord Hanuman searched for Sita. In Nuwara Eliya, visit the colorful Seetha Amman Temple in Seetha Eliya, the exact spot where Goddess Sita was held captive, and stroll through Ashoka Vatika (Hakgala Botanical Gardens).

Day 6

Divurumpola, Ravana Ella & Kataragama Temple

Nuwara Eliya → Divurumpola → Ella (Ravana Caves & Falls) → Kataragama

Visit Divurumpola Temple, the sacred place where Goddess Sita underwent the Agni Pariksha (fire ordeal) to prove her purity. Continue to Ella to photograph the roaring Ravana Waterfalls and Ravana Caves. Travel south to the sacred multi-religious shrine of Kataragama.

Day 7

Rumassala Sanjeevani, Kelaniya & Colombo Departure

Kataragama → Galle (Rumassala) → Colombo (Anjaneyar & Kelaniya) → Airport

Drive along the southern coast to Rumassala hill near Galle—another famous piece of the dropped Sanjeevani mountain with rare medicinal herbs. In Colombo, visit the Panchamuga Anjaneyar Temple and the Kelaniya Temple where Vibhishana was crowned King of Lanka after Ravana. Conclude your holy pilgrimage with a transfer to Colombo Airport.
